An Incredible Way To Get Connected To Others
Ushers/Greeters/Coffee
Do you love to create a welcoming and intentional guest experience? Welcome each guest and help them get connected into our church community through classes, groups, and kids and adult ministry opportunities. Roles include:
- Ushers: These roles are the first touch point for members and guests as they arrive to worship. Typically individuals serve monthly and/or on special occasions or holidays.
- Coffee & Fellowship Team: This volunteer role asks for a monthly commitment to either setup up, reset, or clean up Sunday coffee hour and assist with special services as needed.
- Welcome Desk: Serve at the hub of weekly connections. Greet, smile, provide direction, and share your love of SJL.
Kids Ministry & Youth
Are you passionate about seeing kids experience fun at church? Or maybe you love hanging out with students? One of our core desires is to invest in the next generation and help them discover a faith in Jesus of their own. We are committed to creating fun, engaging, and meaningful faith experiences for our kids and students, with roles that use every personality and giftedness. Estimated time of involvement varies, and roles include:
- Sunday SJL Kids: Group Leaders, Check-in, and Supplies Prep
- Wednesday Prayer Partners: Connecting with Middle School students for prayer and small group discussions
- Youth Group: Group Leaders and Special Events for Middle School and High School students
Worship Teams
Are you passionate about experiencing God through worship or music? Does working behind a camera to capture the best shot get you excited? Our worship teams help make every detail of our weekend services with precision and intentionality. Opportunities include:
- Music Teams: Choir, Brass, Instruments
- Camera Operators: Our livestream camera operators control the camera to help worshipers engage and participate during worship services. Volunteers typically at the service of your choice, once a month.
- Altar Guild: Volunteers serve on a team to prepare the bread and the wine for communion and maintain the items used on the altar for worship services. The time commitment is typically one weekend per month for 3-5 hours.

Sheboygan Lutheran High School is Preparing Christian Leaders – One Student at a Time. This is a school that specializes in faith-based education, values Christian leadership principles, and provides a transformational and well-rounded education.
Neat Repeats
Since 2009, Neat Repeats Thrift Shop has supported Sheboygan Lutheran High School with funding for scholarships, capital campaigns, and operating expenses. Volunteers are essential to help Neat Repeats continue to thrive. Thrift with a purpose!
