I'M NEW

Welcome to St. John.

St. John Lutheran is a place for everyone. Whether you’re wanting to learn more about who God is, or looking for a church that has a firm grip on His Word, you are welcome here. You’ll see families, singles, all ages and stages. You’ll see farmers, bankers, tattoos and traditional folks. And when you come, you’ll see that our gracious God is present too.

Every weekend, we’re opening the Bible together and learning from its pages in ways that speak right into our lives. In our services, our ministries, our school, our small groups – in everything we do at St. John Lutheran, our passion and focus is to share the gospel, care for others and serve in His name.

We look forward to meeting you.  We hope to see you soon.

Service Times?   Saturday – 4:30 PM      Sunday – 8:00 AM & 10:30 AM      Monday – 6:30 PM

Special worship services? St. John offers special worship services for Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and Thanksgiving. Contact the Church Office for service times.

What is a typical service like? Every service includes a combination of readings from the Bible, songs and prayers, a time of confession and absolution, a sermon, an offering, and Holy Communion. Baptisms are celebrated with frequency. A typical service lasts about 75 minutes long.

Where do I park? The Main Church & School Parking Lot is located at the corner of Smith Street & Main Street. Ample parking is available, in this parking lot, for worship gatherings. Street parking is also available.

What do I do when I get there? On your way into St. John Lutheran, you will receive a Bulletin that contains the outline of the worship service that you can reference throughout the service. Feel free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable. We welcome you to read and sing along during the worship service. After the service has ended, we welcome everyone to join us in the Fellowship Hall to greet and get to know the people of St. John. Lastly, we invite you to introduce yourself to people, especially to our Pastors.

What will I hear? Our services make use of hymns, choral and instrumental music, and today’s modern worship music. All of our services offer preaching, drawn from Scripture, that speaks to everyday life and is centered on Jesus, His redeeming work for us, and the life we are called to live as His disciples.

What about Children? Children are very important to us at St. John and are always welcome in worship. The Fellowship Hall is available for walking and comforting restless little ones. St. John also offers a nursery for young children who may not be able to sit for the entire service. A Nursery is available on Sunday mornings from 8:00-11:45 AM. The Nursery is located in the 3K Classroom.

Opportunities to learn about Jesus? We believe it is important for adults and children to gather in small groups for learning and growing in our Christian faith. Every Sunday, from 9:30-10:15 AM, we offer Christian education classes. Through children and adult appropriate topics and activities, we learn together as the family of St. John. We call this special time of growing in our faith "Learning for All".

How do I get more connected? We believe that faith doesn't stand still. Whether you have been with us for a day or a decade, we hope you're asking yourself, "What's my next step?" Located in the Fellowship Hall you will find the Welcome Table as well as the display shelves by the fireplace. This is a great place to pick up information and to inquire about connection opportunities.
